Bond Scope

There are two propositions for the 2017 bond election. Proposition one includes a new elementary school along with several renovations and additions to many of the district facilities. Proposition two includes a multipurpose facility for the district.

What is a bond? A bond is similar to a home mortgage in many ways. It is a contract to repay borrowed money with an interest rate over time. Bonds are sold by school districts to competing lenders to raise funds to pay for the costs of construction, renovations and equipment.
